Fintech Market Scan 2026
The financial services software landscape in numbers, 2026
The Vederca registry lists 1,269 software vendors and 6,059 products serving banks, credit unions, insurers, wealth managers, pension funds and lenders, headquartered in 51 countries. 759 of the vendors name at least one financial institution as a customer. 286 products mention an AI capability in their own public text; 0 have it confirmed by the vendor.
Method
The registry is built from public sources: each vendor's own website and product pages, its published customer announcements, company registers and filings, read and re-read on a schedule, and corrected by the vendors themselves in the vendor portal. A vendor is counted once whatever its size; a product is counted under the category its own page states, else its vendor's main one. A customer is counted when the vendor names the institution publicly, never estimated. A capability is "mentioned" when the product's own text names it and "confirmed" only when the vendor confirms it in its portal; a phrase on a website is never shown as a confirmation. The figures are recomputed from the live registry each time the site is published.
Vendors and products by category
A vendor can sit in more than one category; a product in one.
