What this release covers

Q4 2026 has not ended: this release covers the quarter to date, 1 October 2026 to 8 November 2026. The full quarter's figures are published on 1 January 2027, the first weekday after the quarter ends.

The figures are counts of the Vederca registry, which is built from public sources: each vendor's own website and product pages, its published customer announcements, company registers and filings, read and re-read on a schedule, and corrected by the vendors themselves in the vendor portal. The registry records the day each listing was added and the day each product record last changed, and this release counts by those days. A listing added in the quarter is new to the registry, which is not the same as new to the market; a listing retired in the quarter is in no count. A capability is "mentioned" when the product's own text names it and "confirmed" only when the vendor confirms it in its portal. Nothing is estimated, no model is run, and the same release is recomputed from the live registry each time the site is published until the quarter closes, after which it is fixed.
